At Vascular Institute of the Pines, we believe in treating every patient like family — with the care, respect, and compassion they deserve. Founded by Dr. Leah Hershman, a board-certified vascular surgeon, our faith-based practice was born out of a calling to serve others. Guided by her deep values and belief in the Golden Rule, Dr. Hershman has dedicated her career to providing exceptional care for vascular issues and leg concerns, ensuring every patient feels valued and well cared for.Â
With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Hershman emphasizes that vascular issues and leg concerns should only be managed by a board-certified vascular specialist. At VIP, we don’t just address symptoms—we work to identify the root causes of your condition and provide long-lasting solutions. Your health and well-being are always our top priority.Â
Dr. Hershman’s journey to becoming a vascular surgeon began in Tennessee, where she often visits her parents. She completed her general surgery residency at Detroit Medical Center and her vascular surgery fellowship at the prestigious Arizona Heart Hospital, one of the leading training centers for vascular and endovascular surgery in the United States. Her extensive training and commitment to patient-centered care have made her a trusted expert in her field. Dr. Hershman is known for connecting with her patients on a personal level, ensuring they receive the compassionate care they deserve.Â
In addition to vascular care, VIP offers a range of aesthetics and wellness services designed to help you feel your best. From body sculpting and facial rejuvenation to laser hair removal, we provide treatments that enhance your confidence and well-being. Whether you’re seeking vascular expertise or aesthetic enhancements, VIP is here to meet your needs with professionalism and care.Â
Dr. Hershman, her husband Curtis, their son Brysten, and their Great Dane Maverick are proud to call Southern Pines home. When she’s not serving her patients, you can find Dr. Hershman at a ball field, church and community functions, or hunting for shark teeth.Â
At VIP, you’ll always be treated like the most important person in the room—because to us, you are. Our doors are open to all, and we look forward to welcoming you to our practice where your health, comfort, and confidence come first.Â
